Competitive Vaulting Levels

We offer 9 levels of competitive vaulting.

Walk, Preliminary Trot, and Preliminary Canter are unrecognized lower levels of vaulting. They do not have Qualifying Score requirements in order to attend a National Festival.

Trot and Copper are currently EV USA Recognized national divisions. You must be a member of EV USA and earn Qualifying Scores in order to get an invitation to attend National Championships.

Bronze, Silver, and Gold are currently USEF and EV USA Recognized national divisions and you may also represent the United States in a vaulting competition. You must be a member of both EV USA and the United States Equestrian Federation and earn Qualifying Scores in order to get an invitation to attend National Championships.

International 1*, 2*, and 3* levels are Recognized by FEI and you must be a member of all 3 vaulting organizations and earn qualifying scores/ranking on ranking lists to be invited to competitions.

For each level you will need to pass a skills evaluation at your request when you are ready by being able to perform at least 70% of the skills. If you can perform 80% of the skills you pass with commendation and if you can do 90% or more you pass with honors.

This helps you know when you are ready to compete at a level and when you are ready to move up to the next level.

NOTE: You may sign up for Walk even if you are brand new to vaulting.
